Bruny Island Tour Reviews

We had an awesome time on Bruny Island. We got to try delicious cheese, fresh oysters, chocolate, and a really tasty lunch – all included! Our guide, Nigel, was great – super friendly and even spotted the famous white wallabies. The tour was well-run, full of amazing views and great food. A must-do if you’re in Tasmania!

A jam-packed day eating your way through, and sightseeing, Bruny Island. Our guide Andy was very knowledgeable and a good chat throughout the day. It made for a worry-free day to let someone else drive, and all you need to do is rock up. Thanks Bruny Island Safaris team!

Reasonable price for what you’re getting. Our tour guide, Jimmy, was excellent with his guidance for the tour. Didn’t think i would learn so much history and heritage with a great side of laughter from Jimmy. Amazing food and itinerary. Would 100% recommended Bruny Island Safari tour and definitely our tour guide Jimmy for those who is debating on which company to choose. It is the only company that offers free food, lunch and a whole tour to the Bruny lighthouse. A fantastic experience i would never forget.

Bruny Island’s weather is unique and we can often experience ‘four seasons’ in one day. We recommend wearing layered clothing with a warm jacket and comfortable shoes.

Why is Bruny Island a key destination in Tasmania?

Bruny Island is renowned for its untouched natural beauty, rich history and exceptional local produce. It offers a unique blend of stunning natural landscapes from the Mavista Rainforest to the rugged cliff faces surrounding Cape Bruny Lighthouse. Beyond its scenery, Bruny Island is a foodie’s paradise with an abundance of incredible local produce. Bruny Island has become a ‘must-visit’ destination for those staying in Southern Tasmania and we can’t wait to share the best of the island with you!

Our Foods, Sightseeing and Lighthouse Bruny Island day tour from Hobart includes all aspects of what makes Bruny Island so unique. Throughout the day you’ll see why Bruny Island is a foodie’s paradise with plenty of tastings, morning tea and lunch.

We are proud to be the only tour company with access to Cape Bruny Lighthouse, offering our guests a unique insight into Bruny Island’s maritime history. Your guide will stop at many beautiful locations throughout the day, including Two Tree Point and The Neck Lookout.

Can I bring my suitcase or a large bag?

Unfortunately, we do not have space on board for large bags or suitcases. We recommend leaving this at your hotel or a luggage storage facility.

Do you cater for dietary requirements/food allergies?

Yes! At Bruny Island Safaris, we take food safety very seriously. Please press ‘yes’ to dietary requirements/allergies when making a booking and let us know in the notes of your requirements/allergies. Hotel Bruny’s menu covers all dietary requirements, including gluten-free and vegan options.

How much walking is involved?

We try to keep walking to a minimum to ensure our tour is accessible to as many people as possible. When we visit The Neck Lookout, there are over 200 stairs to reach the top lookout. However, there is the option to walk the flat boardwalk to the stunning beach, or there is a lookout halfway up the stairs that offers fantastic views of the neck on Bruny Island and beyond. Once at Cape Bruny Lighthouse, there is a short uphill walk to reach the lighthouse and then 72 stairs in the Lighthouse itself. With two of the best views on Bruny Island, we promise the view from The Neck Lookout and the Cape Bruny Lighthouse balcony are worth the climb!

If you have any concerns about our tour’s accessibility, please call or email us and we can provide further information.
